The power of life coaching
Today’s society places tremendous pressure on all of us. There is a perceived reality that we have to perform at levels that are, at times, so complicated and so large to achieve and deliver that our lives become chaotic.
This chaos that surrounds many people is very often a picture that creates breakdowns in our relationships. These relationships include: our relationships with ourselves, with our loved ones and in our working environment. The problem is that when one or more of these relationships is affected they hugely impact the other areas of our lives. If the impact is negative, it is at this point that the pressures of life can create suffering and misdirection for people and requires guidance and coaching to assist them to see a bigger and more confident approach.
Our paths in life that we journey down, were very often initially skewed by the expectations of others. So many people engage in careers, lifestyles and education that are laid down by the ideologies of society and what other people expect us to do. My philosophy is that YOU have to be able to do what you were born to do.
Without that inner knowledge and satisfaction, the friction levels rise and your life starts to become less and less meaningful the longer the friction endures. The problem is that what you were born to really do is clouded by these external expectations. People become afraid of change, as change very often does not present an obvious outcome, and human beings are, at the very least, nervous of hidden outcomes.
My work in the life coaching arena, is aimed at removing the chaos in my client’s lives, showing them their patterns, finding their dream (or life purpose) with them and establishing deep meaning. Any lack of meaning that exists is purely a symptom indicating that very few people actually live their dreams. Living your dream is an amazing acknowledgement of the potential and power that you have and the contribution to your own happiness that you are able to create.
The ability to live one’s dream requires courage and commitment at the deepest levels of one’s being, as this process enables the individual to assume responsibility for their lives. This assumption of responsibility ultimately empowers my clients with freedom inside themselves to live who they really are, to do what they really want to do, to become creative in how they address problems and life circumstances At this point they become, firstly, an inspiration to themselves and then secondly, an inspiration to others.
My task as a life coach is find your dream with you, equip you with the ability to achieve this dream and enable you to have deep fulfillment in your life. My own personal experiences, where I have had to overcome varying degrees of success and happiness, as well as adversity and challenge, have enabled me to follow my dream and speak freely of the various options and opportunities that have come my way.
The power of life coaching is that it allows both coaches and clients to be fully human. It allows the client to accept their strengths and weaknesses, and to move on in life with direction and an understanding that brings them happiness, success and inner peace.
